Desura’s parent company, Bad Juju, has filed for bankruptcy within the past few days. This follows the recent news of Desura failing to pay indie developers.

According to Bad Juju’s head of developer relations Lisa Morrison (speaking to Gamasutra), the news first surfaced early this Friday. Rock Paper Shotgun confirmed the news after contacting the company themselves. Unfortuantely, that’s about all we know about the situation.

Bad Juju is, of right now, keeping quiet about the affair, meaning we don’t know how this will affect business or their services, including the bundle service IndieRoyal. We also don’t know what’s caused the bankruptcy, although sources agree this relates to Bad Juju’s problems paying indie developers.
