Egyptian-themed gun-toting roguelike Immortal Redneck is coming to consoles this year, with releases on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on the 27th of February, and the Nintendo Switch some time in 2018’s first quarter.

You assume the role of the titular redneck, who after crashing their dune buggy, awaken in Egyptian catacombs, mummified. What follows is classic FPS combat with a rogue-like framework that promises plenty of variation in level layouts, enemy encounters, and selections from a roster of over fifty ridiculous weapons, like electric flamethrowers and potato guns.

Guillermo Andrades, co-founder of Spanish indie studio Cremas, said that the game has been “a wonderful success on Steam and we look forward to bringing the fun to consoles.” It’ll be on sale for £16.24 ($19.99, €19.99).

Immortal Redneck has been on my radar for quite some time, though for a myriad of reasons that primarily consist of violently screaming into the void (translation: university deadlines) I haven’t had the chance to give it a go yet. This will almost certainly change, however, with its to-be-confirmed Switch release. And if your a Playstation or Xbox user who’s been itching to get their bog roll-wrapped hands on it, then you’re in luck too!
