Killing Floor 2 continues to get more content in Steam Early Access with the latest Incinerate ‘N Detonate update.

The developers at Tripwire Interactive announced the free content update last weekend at PAX Prime. The Incinerate ‘N Detonate update adds two new perks, two maps, new weapons, and further builds on the M.E.A.T gore system (Massive Evisceration and Trauma). Through crossover promotions, owners of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare get a Zweihänder sword. Meanwhile, owners of Red Orchestra 2 get the playable character Anton Strasser.

“With the Incinerate ‘N Detonate Free Content Pack we’re adding over 50% more content to Killing Floor 2 than when we launched a few months ago,” said John Gibson, Tripwire Interactive president. “We’re also excited that this release was heavily shaped by the feedback we’ve received in Early Access to dial in the game to what the players want.”

Between improving the M.E.A.T gore system and adding a new sword to play with, this is an update I’m on board with. Feast your eyes upon the trailer below in all its fire and explosions.

Fans of the Berserker class can look forward to a complete overhaul of its skill tree. Tripwire Interactive has also integrated Nvidia PhysX Flex Technology for GeForce 770 graphic cards and up. Various other small updates such as achievements are included in the update and can be found in the patch notes.

If you’re interested in trying Killing Floor 2, it has a free weekend running until next Sunday, Sept. 6. Be sure to let us know what you think of the game if you’ve been playing it!
