Minecraft: Story Mode, an adventure Minecraft spin-off game, will be released on October 27 according to its Amazon page.

Developed by Telltale Games, Minecraft: Story Mode is set in the Minecraft world where the player follows protagonist Jesse in the Overworld, the Nether, and beyond. Along with Jesse, a group of heroes join the player to save the Minecraft world.

“As Jesse, you’ll embark on a perilous adventure across the Over world, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon,” the description on Amazon reads.

“While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, you and your friends discover that something is wrong. Something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion.”

The cast includes many familiar voice talents like Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Scott Porter (X-Men), Dave Fennoy (Batman: Arkham Knight), among other stars.

Like other Telltale Games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be a five-part episodic series where the player will drive the story with their choices. The first episode will be released on a disc and the remaining four episodes will become available for download. An Internet connection will be required to play the series.

The Amazon page shows Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on Xbox One, but like other Telltale titles the game will most likely be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and mobile devices.
