Sony have announced a kickstarter campaign for Shenmue 3 today at its E3 press conference.

Yu Suzuki, creator of Shenmue took to the stage to voice his passion and enthusiasm for the project, “We can unfold the continuous story, the fate of Shenmue 3 is in your hands now.”

The campaign is asking for a goal of $2 million USD and has raised over $15,000 in a matter of minutes. You can learn more about the project on its Kickstarter page.
