Welcome everyone, have we got a unique show for you this week. Our pair of guests on the show is a father and son team that worked together to develop a game for iOS called Meteor Kids. With a little help from his father Thomas, Nine Year Old Ian developed his own game, got it through certification and put it out for all the world to see. We discuss the challenges the pair faced, the origins of the project as an excuse to get his son being creative and what’s next for this young budding Indie Developer. As of publishing the game is currently free and can be found by searching Meteor Kids on any iOS device.

We also discuss Flappy Bird and the sad story of the pressure put on it’s developer, why Journalists need to take part in game jams, all the best free games from Global Game Jam and progress being made in You Are The reason.

Come have a listen, we promise it will provide all of the things we just listed. You can also download the podcast on iTunes or find our RSS feed here.

Laura’s gaming journey began in the 90′s when she was given a SNES by her older brother with Mario paint. From that day video games were all she thought about day or night, be it playing them, designing them, discussing them or writing about them. Why does she want to write about indie games? Because indie devs are awesome and she wants to be their new best friend by telling them how terrible their games are. That’s how it works right? Twitter: @LauraKBuzz Email:
