Between Mighty No. 9 and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Kickstarter has become the go-to place for smaller Japanese developers.

Cherrymochi Game Studio continues that trend with Tokyo Dark, a sci-fi adventure game set in Tokyo. The game has already more than doubled its initial goal within its first few games. However, this shouldn’t be surprising, given its previous successes.

Tokyo Dark has already been Greenlit on Steam, and thanks to the Square Enix Collective, a service through which Square Enix publishes smaller indie titles based on community votes, the game will see release through them. Jose has already written about Tokyo Dark for Indie Haven in the past.
