Developed for iPad by Majd Akar and Hosni Auji, Zero Age is an atmospheric puzzler that puts players in an alien world without explanation, before encouraging them to explore its collection of sky-bound floating isles.

Cribbing inspiration from recent greats such as Monument Valley in addition to tapping older classics, such as Ico for its atmosphere, players control a sorcerer who must use his powers to solve puzzles in order to proceed.

Specifically, the sorcerer’s powers manifest themselves as beams which allow him to affect the environment in a variety of ways.

From creating cubes to block harmful lasers, to expanding the dimensions of existing blocks to allow access to new locations, Zero Age combines a sense of isolation with progressively more challenging conundrums to solve.

Zero Age is available to buy on the App Store right now, exclusively for iPad. Presently, it retails for $2.99 (£1.99).
