On the heels of the announcement that 505 Games and Lab Zero, developers of the Skullgirls fighting game, would collaborate on a community-backed development deal, Lab Zero Games today has launched the prototype for their new action/RPG game, Indivisible.

The prototype was funded by 505 Games, and Lab Zero is using the prototype as a proof of concept to raise funds to continue development for Indivisible. Using Indiegogo, Lab Zero seeks to raise $1,500,000 and should they reach their funding goal, 505 Games will match the rest of the development budget needed to complete the game.

Indivisible is a new RPG, starring Ajna (apparently pronounced AHZH-na, but that doesn’t really help me), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest, she is joined by a variety of heroes and gains new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they encounter along the way. Standard. Indivisible features a storyline inspired by Southeast Asian and other world mythologies. Lab Zero’s trademark 2D hand-drawn animation will feature and the soundtrack will be provided by Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.

The Indivisible prototype is free and available for download at indivisiblegame.com
