A fresh trailer dropped for Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune’s popular kickstarted game Mighty No. 9 along with a few more physical goodies that will come with the collectors edition of the game.

Squint hard enough while watching trailer and you’d swear that Beck is the blue bomber himself dashing around the screen battling the robot masters. The inspirations are obvious and game play looks familiar, but Mighty No. 9 does have an art style all its own. It looks like a Mega Man game that got a fresh coat of paint and a shiny new set of wheels.

Speaking of shiny things, a few more details surfaced about the collectors edition of Mighty No. 9. Dubbed “Mighty No. 9: Signature edition” the package includes a launch edition of the game, a statue of Beck and special packaging that includes a foil signature from Inafune.

Mighty No. 9 is slated for release on September 15 of this year in America and worldwide three days later. The game will have digital and retail version on XboxOne, Playstation 4, Wii U and PC. The game will also be available on handheld systems like Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

  • It’s good to see the screens/videos for this game looking a lot better than when it was originally announced. I could’ve swore it was a 2D game back then, or more precisely an HD, 2D game, which for some reason always look much worse than they otherwise would if not HD (too many pixels to populate?)

Now it appears fully 3D, which for better or worse looks a lot better in HD than it probably otherwise could have. The Bloodstained screens also look like really bad HD, 2D right now. Hopefully it will look like a more quality product with time as well.
