OlliOlli, the 2D skateboarding game from Roll7 will be released for PlayStation Vita on January 21 in North/South America and a day later in Europe.

The game, described by SCEE’s Shahid Kamal (who helped part fund the game) as “savagely addictive”, looks to combine the hard-as-nails combo style of most skate games with a simplified side-on view. Throw into the mix a heavy soundtrack filled with the likes of the Qemists, Dorian Concept and Flako and you’ve got a tidy thumper of a game to occupy you on those dull, non-skating commutes.

OlliOlli features over 50 levels in career mode, and 50 “spots” built with a single long combo in mind for you to challenge yourself on. The game will also include a Daily Grind feature, similar to Spelunky’s one-shot levels that refresh every 24-hours. That’s on top of the RAD mode, an extra difficulty level only unlocked to those who complete all 250 challenges in the game.

The price is unconfirmed yet, but seems like it could be a solid investment given the array of features and new daily content. Do check out the trailer above/below, won’t you? And try not to slam your face.
