Fans of the SteamWorld Dig universe got some good news today as it’s spiritual successor SteamWorld Heist will be going on tour. Even though SteamWorld Heist, the next game in the SteamWorld series is still under construction there continue to be demands for gameplay footage and videos. To satisfy the curiosity of the gaming public en masse, Image & Form CEO Brjánn Sigurgeirsson will be presenting a playable build for those to be the first to experience the game at events in the US and Europe.

Although SteamWorld Heist is not a direct sequel to the award winning SteamWorld Dig, SteamWorld Heist is set in the same universe and has been inspired by games such as XCOM: Enemy Within and promises steam-powered robotic turn based scavenging action in the depths of space.

The currently confirmed locations that SteamWorld Heist will be available to play:

March 2-4: GDC, San Francisco. Zoink! Games Creative Director, Klaus Lyngeled will also be present to show off co-op story brawler Zombie Vikings.

March 6-8: PAX East, Boston

March 12-14: EGX Rezzed, London

May 15-17: The Steampunk World’s Fair, Piscataway, New Jersey

SteamWorld Heist will be released later 2015 and is aimed at being released on all platforms.
